Evie and the olifanten
So the title of this blog comes from my stay in the Netherlands. The first time I visited Amsterdam was during the elephant parade. A project in which artists got to paint rather large elephant statues anyway they liked. A 100 of these painted statues was spread out over Amsterdam and after a while auctioned out. The money the auction raised was to help save the india elephants.
There was also a website and a shop called elephant parade where you could buy differently sized elephants. Or olifants which is the dutch word for elephant.
To make a long story short I got very enthusiastic over this whole initiative and the blog name just seemed to be exactly right. And it was for the stay in Holland, I just keep it around for sentimental value now a days.
